Handmade Cloisonne Earrings By Whitney Lassini
Cloisonne is an ancient art form in which enamel, glass, or gemstones are separated by strips of flattened wire placed edgeways on a metal backing.
Our friend, and fellow Lowell resident, Whitney Lassini, is a master of making jewelry that requires infinite patience and fantastic small motor skills. Her cloisonne pieces are made with sterling silver wire that separates the various colors of enamel. She has to fire each piece between six and twenty different time. Wearable art, indeed.
These sterling earrings are 1 inch tall and 5/8" wide (25mmx15mm) not including the sterling hook for your ears.
