MOKUME (mah-koo-may) GANE

		Mokume is an ancient Japanese process of combining metals so they look like wood grain. In this case alternating layers of copper and sterling silver are used. The copper will oxidize and darken with time.

Here is a Mokume pendant to match the earrings pictured above. Accented with a white sapphire. This ring has Mokume layered on top of a ring of Argentium silver with a champagne diamond mounted in a 14kt white gold bezel. Julie hand crafted an eight pronged bezel from Mokume Gane to set this hand faceted soliel cut citrine into the Argentium ring. This stone needs to be seen in person to appreciate the play of light on the facets that are concave! Rubies & diamonds in a Mokume bracelet. Julie used unfaceted garnets in this pendant. Kevin had a diamond and an emerald that he asked Julie to put in a Moume band. Mokume ring with natural orange sapphires and diamonds.
